Marilyn Pitts is a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and Nurse Consultant/Account Manager with more than 33 years of experience serving closed-door pharmacies throughout Northern and Southern California. Closed-door pharmacies provide specialized pharmacy services to skilled nursing facilities, convalescent homes, and assisted living communities.
Throughout her career as a Nurse Consultant, Marilyn has worked closely with licensed nurses, helping prepare them for state surveys and supporting them in meeting the required standards of care. During her years in Northern California, she served facilities throughout the surrounding communities, as well as facilities as far north as Seattle and Spokane, Washington, and Portland, Oregon.
After relocating to Southern California, Marilyn continued to serve facilities throughout the region. Her professional experience also provided opportunities to work in the Chicago and Texas areas, where she assisted licensed nurses in preparing for state surveys.
Working with nurses, residents, and families in a variety of healthcare settings has given Marilyn a deep appreciation for the needs of individuals and families during some of life’s most challenging circumstances. She has had the opportunity to help families find appropriate care and caregivers for their loved ones. Her experience as a hospital nurse has also allowed her to serve people in need in a different capacity, further
strengthening her commitment to caring for others.
Marilyn’s desire to serve is rooted in her Christian faith and her belief that every person deserves compassion, dignity, and care. She is honored to bring her years of healthcare experience and her heart for service to the mission of this organization.
